Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Christian Drehsen, one of Florida's most renowned and respected surgeons, has performed thousands of surgical procedures over more than 20 years in practice in the Tampa Bay area.

Dr. Drehsen has dedicated himself to the specialized field of cosmetic surgery, and has earned his place as one of Florida's leading cosmetic surgeons. Well known for his exceptional skill in performing facial procedures, he has overcome the common limitations of standard face lift procedures and developed an original technique for facial rejuvenation, the Refresher Face Lift, to help you recover your unique  beauty with natural looking results.

Dr. Drehsen is also one of the first board certified plastic surgeons to pioneer the  use of stem cell enriched fat micro grafts in the field of facial rejuvenation. This process extracts live stem cells from your own fat for reinjection in other areas of the body. It is increasingly used for both reconstructive and esthetic needs . While it is still early and evidence is accumulating, stem cell enriched fat micrografting shows great promise to heal and restore youthful volumes and skin tone and to repair damage from sun, age, hormonal changes, acne, radiation treatments and other damaging agents.

Today, Dr. Drehsen is one of the most experienced surgeons using this technique and technology in the world.

Born in Belgium where he received his Bachelor of Science, he attended medical school at the Free University of Brussels in Belgium. Upon completion of his Doctorate of Medicine, he came to the United States where he received a complete training in general surgery followed by a comprehensive training in all fields of plastic surgery at the University of Louisville (Kentucky) under the direction of Dr. Leonard Weiner, Professor of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Drehsen is also trained in hand surgery under the renowned hand surgeon, Dr. Harold Kleinert. He also is fully trained in microsurgery under the direction of Dr. Robert Ackland, Associate Professor of Surgery and pioneer in the field of microsurgery. During his residency at Morton Children's Hospital in Louisville, Dr. Drehsen kept close contact with the burn unit and developed strong pediatric plastic surgery skills as well.

Over the years, Dr. Drehsen has employed his broad surgical experience and his demanding, goal oriented, aesthetic approach to the field of cosmetic surgery, to help his patients achieve their ultimate dream of beauty.

His greatest interest has been in the development of a subtle and natural facial rejuvenation technique, the "Refresher Lift," which refines the most advanced face lift methods to obtain a naturally, refreshed look.

With the same goals in mind, Dr. Drehsen also performs a broad range of other cosmetic surgery procedures including:
