Fat Micro-Injections

While standard wrinkle fillers like Juvederm or Restylane are usually injected along the lip line, producing an illusion of a larger lip, fat micro injections are more versatile and can be used to plump  the lip line and the substance of the lip, adding definition as well as volume.

Fat can also be injected in many other different parts of the body such as the cheeks, eyelids, or buttocks. As we grow older, we lose fat particularly in the face. The pictures below show good examples of what can be done to create a more youthful look by adding fat to the lips and cheeks.
Amazingly a substantial skin texture improvement is often seen after injection (see pictures).

To remedy this potential re-absorption, additional fat is kept frozen in our facility for up to 6 months and can be used on demand for touch-up reinjections.
 
Fat is also used quite successfully to help sunken cheekbones, uplift cheeks, brow areas, correct facial and breast asymmetry, depressed scars, etc.
 
Another very popular use of the patient's own fat extracted during liposuction procedure is the “Brazilian Butt Lift" where a substantial amount of fat is injected to enhance and uplift the buttocks (see pictures).
