An Interview with Dear Gladys

Gladys, I understand you were the first Miss Cuba in the Miss Universe competition held in 1952, and that you were among the 15^th finalists?

Gladys nods, Yes.

(Looking at Gladys this freelance writer is thinking, I want this kind of beauty power at seventy something! Let’s face it, my daughter had a bust lift at thirty something, after her planned parenthood was intact. Real women are doing it!)

Gladys, what procedures have changed your life the most? And how?

“Having removed my double chin, I see a young woman every time I look at my face in the mirror. My friends tell me I look much younger. Simply, I look like my ‘ole me’ (Gladys laughs).

How long did you think about having a face lift?

“I was thinking about fixing my face for a long time, but there was never time before I went shopping for Doctors to knows about the details and learn. I was invited to the [Clinique of Plastic Surgery’s  Timeless Beauty] Seminar. Dr. Drehsen was so sincere, looked honest, took time to speak softly to me and with all this knowledge. And when I saw Computer Imaging of myself on the screen (before and after] I made the decision [for plastic surgery] right there. I was convinced everything was going to be alright.”

Did family or friends discourage you from having cosmetic surgery?  If so, what is their reaction now?

“Half said, “No”; and half said, “Yes, do it!”. But now, they just cannot believe their eyes when they see the years Dr. Drehsen cut from my life. Four friends are interested in Dr. Drehsen’s procedures. I have invited them to the next Seminar, I have six friends who have had plastic surgery and look beautiful.”

What has been your feeling about the doctor and his staff?

“As I said, Dr. Drehsen’s experience, his personality, his self confidence and the way he treated me was enough to sign with him. I am so pleased with the professionalism of the entire staff. I just couldn’t ask for better people, better service, and better care.”

Any other thoughts you’d like to share, Gladys?

“Yes. The only reason women out there are scared to death is because they know very little about Plastic Surgery. I was one of them until I decided to learn about these procedures. Dr. Drehsen is educating women and men through his free Timeless Beauty Seminars.  Ladies, the best feeling that you will experience is when you look better. It is the best gift you can give to yourself.”
