Many women today, after pregnancy and with age, are not happy with their Tummy or stomach. With the increase of Tummy display's, such as belly button rings and bikinis, a sexy mid-drift has become widely popular. A Tummy Tuck, also called Abdominoplasty, it is a procedure used to remove excess wrinkled skin and fatty tissue, often present after pregnancy, in order to obtain a smoother, flatter stomach. If necessary, abdominal muscles can also be tightened and Liposuction is often combined with this procedure to achieve a more sculpted look. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen.

During the surgery, an incision is made across the lower part of the abdomen, within the panty line. The sagging skin is lifted toward the rib cage, and the abdominal muscles are then tightened. After pulling the skin back down, the surgeon then removes the excess skin and recreates a new navel.

After the surgery, The Clinique of Plastic Surgery recommends that you refrain from any strenuous activity for approximately four to six weeks. You will also be advised to wear an abdominal support for several weeks. You will feel some soreness; however, our doctors can prescribe medication to ease the discomfort.
